The Blue Hour
About The Blue Hour

Fifteen years of research that connects.

Since 2011 we have helped organisations start the conversation with their market through research. What began as a better form of business development grew into a discipline in its own right.

What we stand for

Our principles

Quality over quantity

A handful of conversations at the right level beats a hundred cold calls.

Research as the foundation

Every conversation starts with real market insights, not with an offer.

Strategic value

An advisory conversation, not a sales pitch. As equals, at board level.

Sharing knowledge

We give away knowledge instead of discounts, building authority along the way.

Our story

Research that connects

2011

The world shifts

Customers increasingly did their research online rather than through face-to-face conversations. We wrestled with the question: how do we combine those two worlds?

2013

Research as the answer

What started as an experiment became the core of The Blue Hour: putting research at the centre and connecting with the target audience from there.

2014

Our own software

We build our own software to generate personal benchmark reports.

2016

Marketing automation

With the rise of marketing automation and systems for managing online audiences, we became a reseller of HubSpot and SharpSpring, among others.

2020

Social selling

Social selling through channels such as LinkedIn takes off. We combine LinkedIn with our other channels into one coherent approach.

2025

AI in all our processes

We embrace AI and use it across all our processes. We make our benchmark report software available to clients through BenchLab.

2026

BenchLab becomes independent

BenchLab becomes a separate entity and its feature set expands enormously.
